Dopplerography of the veins or arteries of the lower limbs
In order to timely and accurately diagnose the problem, Doppler ultrasonography of the vessels of the extremities should be done when the first alarming symptoms appear. The examination will determine possible disorders, detect deformation of blood vessels and their walls, blood flow rate, assess the risk of health hazards and prescribe the correct treatment.
Doppler examination of the vessels of the legs is a highly informative and painless method for detecting a number of diseases of the arteries and veins of the lower extremities.
Indications for Doppler ultrasonography of lower extremity vessels:
- Leg pain that appears during walking;
- Variable lameness;
- Cramps in calf muscles;
- Impaired sensitivity in the limbs (numbness, numbness, crawling “goosebumps”);
- Cold sensation in the legs;
- Swelling of the legs, a feeling of stretching of the skin;
- Feeling of heaviness, increased fatigue in the legs;
- Redness and soreness of the skin of the lower extremities;
- Enlargement, protrusion of subcutaneous veins and their tenderness;
- Acute pain in the limbs.
